I just couldn't quite figure out how I would manage this along with everything else in life -- but got fired up to give it a try over the weekend, so here goes! I am going to start by combining the blog with my other hobbies of photography and scrapbooking -- hopefully the "synergies" in use of time and interesting blog topics will be mutually reinforcing for all of the hobbies!
For this first post, I bring you Sabby's 30th Bday and my now-signature 30-cake -- made by purchasing the biggest cake you can find at the grocery store then carving out the numbers and re-frosting and decorating it, this time pirate-themed for Sabby of course:
We were also thrilled to have people over nearly a year after being back in our SF condo:
I took these photos fast, note that people are not holding the olympic torch ablaze in our living room -- it's just a bad shine from my camera and the lights overhead.

Yay for you! glad to be the one to give you some courage to "just do it". I swear. Stick to it and people will come out of hiding to let you know they are reading! Cool cake, btw! I called our girl to place an order for a two year old's birthday cake in July and a one year old's in AUgust. about to be partying up a storm around here. But then, what else is new?!
